BrollyBucket Bride and Groom - Jen & James at Cornwell Manor

We are delighted when our gorgeous couples send in images of their big day - come rain or shine! Today, we are in for an absolute beauty from the fab Jonny Barratt, who has kindly shared images of the wonderful Jen and James with us.

They were married at the absolutely amazing Cornwell Manor and booked a handful of our fun and pastel, Party Season Packages with us, just in case the threat of rain clouds loomed!

Thankfully, Brollies were on hand for a brief shower just after their gorgeous ceremony in the Cornwell manor ballroom, which helped the bridal party and guests stay dry for their beautiful group shots in the grounds.

Later, their Papakata tent was the perfect setting for a wedding feast and emotional speeches, before moving back to the ballroom under the cover of their Brollies for a stunning first dance (that dip!).

With thanks to Jen, James and their photographer Jonny for the use of these images today - please make sure you scroll to the bottom of the post to check out the other amazing suppliers who made their wedding day so beautiful.

Brolly Bucket July Round-Up

Brolly Bucket July Round-Up

Wedding season is at its height and, after seeing our beautiful brollies, umbrella stands and accessories featured in some seriously gorgeous real weddings and industry events, we really do have wedding fever here at Brolly Bucket!

First up in our summer round-up is Abbi and Ash’s achingly cool festival-style wedding bash, which featured recently over on Rock My Wedding. Abbi is half of the Save the Date magazine team and we feel particularly honoured that a lady with so much industry experience chose our brollies for her big day - she clearly knows a thing or two! ;) The overall vibe was, in Abbi’s words, “boho luxe”, with an outdoor ceremony, tipis, hay bales, prosecco vans, endless flower crowns (13 bridesmaids, people! 13! Count them!) And did we mention the Moroccan rugs, festoon lighting, real ale and sparklers? And the coconut shy? And the doughnuts? You get the idea: this really was a wedding of epic inspiration proportions, and our white party umbrellas were part of it. Super proud Brolly Bucket moment!

Next up was the ultra-chic celebration of Georgia and Isaac at Loch Lomond, where the bride and groom went for a charming combination of tipis, katas and sperry tents to create their very own wedding wonderland. There was a fairy light walkway, greenery everywhere and huge floral arrangements to create a sense of a magical, riotous English Country Garden (or Scottish Country Garden, to be precise). This conscientious pair prepared for all eventualities and our willow umbrellas stands flanked every entrance to the tents and the way into the walled garden - nothing was going to dampen their guests’ high spirits!

And finally, at Papakata’s Spring Open Weekend at Escrick Park, York back in March, we helped show brides and grooms-to-be their styling options with our contribution to Natalie Hewitt’s Romantic Meadow brief. Rustic floral displays were suspended from the ceilings and covered the tables, combined with gorgeous earthy colours and plenty of luxe bohemian touches. Our blankets were the perfect addition to ensure visitors were cosy and comfortable while they quaffed cocktails, enjoyed canapes and talked all things wedding. A pretty perfect day in anyone’s book, we reckon - if you’re planning a wedding, definitely keep your eyes peeled for Papakata’s next event.

Introducing Our Hay Bale Blanket Collection

Introducing Our Hay Bale Blanket Collection

It’s no secret that here at Brolly Bucket we LOVE an outdoor wedding, whether it’s in a tipi, a tent, a marquee in a farmer’s field or a barnyard bash. We’re all about you having your day, your way - which, for most of us, includes not having to worry about the rain. Hence our range of beautiful brollies - the clue’s in the name, I guess!

But did you know that you can also hire out blankets to keep your guests cosy into the evening reception? No? Well, allow us to introduce you to our collection of simple but stylish cotton hay bale blankets and soft patterned throws.

Hay Bale Blankets

Hay bales are a popular option for reception seating areas as they’re fairly inexpensive, comfortable, reusable (they can go straight back to the farmer afterwards to be used for feed, or bedding if they’re straw bales) and decorative - especially when topped with a pretty cover or blanket. In fact, why stop at the seating? You can also use hay bales to prop up photographs or flower arrangements, present trays of canapes, top with pallets to make a rustic bar - the only limit is your imagination!

Hay-bale-blankets-wedding

Whatever your theme or styling inspiration - a homespun farm wedding, a rustic barnyard affair or a luxe tipi tent celebration drowning in fairylights and firepits - hay bales can provide the perfect finishing touch. Clustered together, you can create intimate seating areas for late-night chat and chillout time and they’re as decorative as they are functional; even more so when topped with our hay bale blankets in a stunning neutral palette of grey, cream and charcoal. Utterly understated and utterly gorgeous - plus, they’re available singly or in sets of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 so you have complete flexibility and can tailor your order to your wedding.

Wedding Blankets

And for the proverbial cherry on top, place piles of our Scandi-style soft blankets and throws alongside your hay or straw bale arrangements - maybe in some of our willow baskets? - for peak levels of rustic chic. And super-cosy guests, of course!

Check out our full range of ‘extras’ in the ‘We also hire…’ section - or head straight for our beautiful hay bale blankets here.
